Innovation vs. Imitation
The controversy surrounding the marketing hype associated with certain "over-cooked" Imitator shaping files is the focus of this Just-In-Time® video segment. In most instances, companies that "imitate" try to beat a competitor through cost, not through quality and/or performance. In this show, the credibility of a specific marketing campaign is reviewed and technical insights are candidly shared concerning a certain brand of shaping files used for preparing canals. The goal here is help dentists understand and appreciate that files that are excessively heat treated, aka "over-cooked", frequently contribute to unexpected costs and/or an undesirable clinical performance.
